The James R. Jordan Foundation (JRJF) believes that all children deserve equal opportunity and access to a quality education. We aim to level the academic playing field to ensure that hard-working students have the opportunity to attain a higher education regardless of socio-economic status.

HISTORY In 1989, the Michael Jordan Foundation began the Michael Jordan Education Club. The Club encouraged youth across the United States to improve their grades and attendance in school, and offered the opportunity for students to earn a trip for themselves, a parent, and a teacher to Chicago for a weekend of festivities.

The Jordan Thomas Foundation Jordan Thomas encountered his “Plan B” during what was meant to be a relaxing day of scuba diving with his family. In a convergence of ocean waves, sharp propellers, and a strong wake, Thomas was badly injured. Multiple surgeries and the amputation of his lower legs could have dragged this straight-A student and talented golfer down, drowning in self-pity.

The foundation was formed in March of 2012 through the vision of John Jordan, CEO of Jordan Vineyard & Winery. We are excited to have you visit our website to learn about our goals and programs. The Jordan Family Foundation Our organization was founded in 1982 to bring together the ancestors of the Reverend Robert Jordan and his wife, Sarah (Winter) Jordan for the purpose of preserving our history and empowering future generations of Jordans.

The Jordan Foundation takes care of blind children between the ages of 3-9, who come from poor families in Rwanda. The children are offered a safe place to live and have access to medical care and eye treatment, but also to other health service such as counselling, physiotherapy, and nutrition.
